How to Register

Folens Publishers are providing folensonline free to all teachers this year. From the 18 May, you will need your personal password to access the full version of all the textbooks and additional resources. You will need to register online to receive your password.

Registration is quick and easy, and verifies that you are a practicing teacher.

Step 1 – Register Online

Go to www.folensonline.ie, select Register as a New User, and fill out the online form. You will be asked for your name, your contact email address, to select your school, and to enter your school’s role number.

Step 2 – Enter your school’s Activation Code

On the next step, you need to enter your school’s “Activation Code”. This is a special code that Folens will send to your school in the week of 11 May. It looks something like “F298-TEFS”. If you have not received the code yet, ask your school office, or contact our Customer Services desk.

Step 3 – Receive your password

You will then receive an email with your own personal password. You can now use this password to access the full version of folensonline. You can then at any stage change your personal details, email or password.

Restrictions on Registration and Use of folensonline

folensonline is being provided this year only to current teachers in officially listed schools, for use in the classroom. All use of the website is monitored, and includes some automated restrictions on its use. These include the restriction that each password only allows one person to access the website at a time. Any detected use of the website beyond what is intended by Folens Publishers will lead to personal accounts and school codes being disabled. See our Terms and Conditions for a detailed description of the terms of use.

Any Problems?

I can’t find where to register on folensonline.
The registration page will only be available from 18 May 2009.

I cannot find my school in the list of schools on the registration form.
Schools are listed according to the Department of Education official listing, based on the county and town. Ensure you check if your school is listed under its Irish name.
If your school is still missing, please contact our Customer Service team, and we will add your school to the official list. To do this, please provide the full name, address and role number of your school.

The form asks for the school role number, what is this, where can I find it?
This is the official number that the Department of Education uses to identify each school. Your school will have this information.

How do I get an Activation Code?
Activation Codes are sent to each school in mid May 2009. There is one code per school, which allows all the teachers in the school to register. If your school has not received the Activation Code, or if it has been lost, please contact our Customer Services, and we will send it out again.

I registered online, and entered the Activation Code, but never received an email with my password.
It can take up to twenty minutes from completing registration to receiving your email. If you have not received your email: check that the email address you entered is correct; check that the email address has not been filtered to the “spam” folder of your email programme.

If you have still not received your email, contact our Customer Services, and we will resend the registration email.
